The spectacular 10-night Parrtjima – A Festival in Light returns to Alice Springs, Mparntwe, from 8-17 April 2022, and registrations for the free event are open now.
Parrtjima continues to grow and attract new audiences each year, and organisers have created new travel packages with Travel Associates to help interstate visitors make the most of a trip to the Red Centre.
Parrtjima, which takes place at Alice Springs Desert Park and Araluen Arts Centre, keeps the flame of story and authentic Aboriginal culture alive by using the newest technology to tell ancient stories. The stunning backdrop is the 300-million-year-old natural canvas of the MacDonnell Ranges. The only authentic Aboriginal light festival of its kind, Parrtjima is the place where wisdom and warmth meet in the stunning Red Centre.
