IQ2 Debate: Do politicians only care about winning?

IQ2 Debate: Do politicians only care about winning?

The Ethics Centre has announced a return of its popular IQ2 series at an event held at Sydney’s Town Hall on 24 March that critically examines and debates political power. Two carefully chosen teams will present ‘for’ and ‘against’ positions in response to the provocation that ‘Politicians only care about winning’.

Bill Shorten, Member for Maribyrnong and Former Leader of the Opposition; Jo Dyer, former Director of Adelaide Writers' Week and Independent candidate for Boothby; Jake Thrupp, publisher and commentator; and other speakers soon to be announced, will present compelling and thought-provoking arguments at both ends of the spectrum.

This IQ2 event is perfectly timed with campaigning for this year’s federal election now hitting full stride; when Australians’ focus on politicians looking for votes, what they offer and who will benefit.
