 THE STAR TO CELEBRATE GOOD FOOD MONTH THIS OCTOBER

Sydney’s premier entertainment destination, The Star, is plating up a flavour sensation this October with a series of mouthwatering menus and events to celebrate The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month.

The month of festivities will showcase some of the best in dining that The Star has to offer with signature restaurants and casual eateries offering a multitude of delectable experiences.

Andy North, General Manager of Food & Beverage, The Star said, “Whether you’re looking for casual fare or fabulous fine dining, The Star is the place to be this October. Our signature restaurants will play host to festival favourites including Let’s Do Lunch and Hats Off Dinners, as well as some unforgettable one-off experiences.

“Good Food Month is a gastronomic favourite on Sydney’s event calendar and we look forward to joining in the fun and unleashing the creative genius of the food and beverage masters at The Star.”

Event highlights include one-off dinners at Sokyo and Momofuku Sei?bo. Sokyo Executive Chef, Chase Kojima will take dinner to the next level with Sokyo Nights on Thursday 29 October. Live DJs from Marquee will transform Sokyo into a nightclub for one unforgettable night of sounds, sushi and expertly crafted cocktails.

Momofuku Sei?bowill host Sei?bo x TMBTP on Sunday 11 October. Momofuku Sei?bo’s new executive chef Paul Carmichael is teaming up with good mates Luke Ashton and Charlie Ainsbury from Darlinghurst bar, This Must Be The Place (TMBTP). Paul will be dishing up tasty snacks all night, with Luke and Charlie serving contemporary cocktails. The Momofuku team will be turning up the music even louder than usual, so come along for a great night with old friends and new.

Let’s Do Lunch

Balla

Celebrate Good Food Month at Balla and enjoy stunning water views and a delicious lunch prepared by an award-winning Italian chef. Enjoy two courses from Balla’s lunch menu, including a soft drink or glass of Yalumba wine.

The Century

Enjoy Chinatown classics at The Century with a mixed Dim Sim Sampler with two additional items of your choice such as salt and pepper squid, chilli chicken, Singapore noodles and much more.

Hats Off Dinner at Balla

From Milan, Rome, Florence and his home town of Lucca, Italy, Balla Executive Chef, Gabriele Taddeucci will present the best Real Italian Street Food on Tuesday, 13 October.

Gingerboy Meets BLACK

BLACK by ezard will host Gingerboy Meets BLACK, an extraordinary Asian hawker-style street food dinner experience created by the team from Teage Ezard’s Melbourne restaurant, Gingerboy for one night only on Tuesday, 20 October. 

Bar Hop

For those heading out after dark throughout October, the brilliant bartenders at Sokyo will create bespoke Tanqueray Gin cocktails matched perfectly with a tasty bar snack. Meanwhile,

BLACK Bar will whip up a Wagyu Beef Slider, sweet pickle, gruyere and tomato matched with a Thatchers Cider.

Cheap Eats

Fat Noodle

Fans of Asian fare can sample Luke Nguyen’s delights throughout October including Nonya Mee - wok tossed vermicelli noodles with prawns, chives, tamarind and chillies.

Pub Dining

Passions collide as sports fans head to Fuel at 24/7 Sports Bar to sink their teeth into The Godfather, two 100% Angus beef patties with grilled Canadian bacon, cheddar cheese, cos lettuce, tomato, red onion, sautéed mushrooms and onion jam. Enjoy with a Coopers Pale Ale schooner.

Sugar Rush

For a sweeter touch, head to Garden Buffet for sugar filled delights at the Candy and Lolly Dessert Bar, coupled with a chilled glass of Yalumba Botrytis Viognier.

Café Collective

Antidote café will fire up its outdoor barbecue and serve up egg and bacon sandwiches for hungry commuters and weekend warriors, along with a selection of pastries, freshly made juices by Cali Press and the best brewed coffee by Will & Co.

Sunday Sessions

Cap off the weekend with a Sunday Champagne Lunch and settle in at BLACK by ezard for an afternoon of Moet and a three-course meal overlooking spectacular views of sparkling Sydney Harbour.
