The Star Sydney will open a new casual dining pop-up restaurant Sokyo Ramen by Chase Kojima this spring.

Award-winning Sokyo Executive Chef, Chase Kojima will open Sokyo Ramen inCafé Court at The Star from Thursday, 10 September serving steaming bowls of ramen noodles for lunch and dinner seven days a week through until November.

The hole in the wall pop-up will dish out four varieties of piping hot ramen ($15-16) and popular Japanese street-food dishes, including marinated sake soy chicken karaage with spicy mayo, mixed greens and yuzu dressing ($11); yuzu sorbet ($4), and freshly squeezed juices ($6.50).

Sokyo Executive Chef, Chase Kojima said: “I’m really excited to take over The Star’s pop-up space in Café Court to launch Sokyo Ramen and serve authentic bowls of ramen for lunch and dinner throughout spring.

“Ramen noodles are one of my all-time favourite Japanese street foods and Sokyo Ramen is a great chance to do something different and give Sydney a taste of Sokyo like they’ve never tasted before.”

Specially crafted by Kojima, the menu is inspired by a recent trip to Japan and a life-long love of the humble Japanese staple.

Andy North, General Manager of Food & Beverage, The Star said: “We are delighted to welcome Sokyo Ramen by Chase Kojima to The Star’s casual dining precinct this spring and to offer visitors the rare opportunity to sample the sensational menu that combines the quality and artistry of Sokyo with the flavour of Japanese street food.”
