PIZZA HUT PARTNERS WITH VISA CHECKOUT IN AUSTRALIAN QSR FIRST
Pizza Hut Australia has become the first company in the QSR category to partner with Visa Checkout, offering a new and secure electronic method of payment for online orders.
The move follows the company’s strong growth in digital and mobile commerce and is designed to create greater convenience and choice for customers alongside regular credit card payments.
“Just as we love to offer a great choice of toppings, we want to offer our customers more choice in the way they pay and Visa Checkout is an easy and convenient option,” said Pizza Hut Australia Head of Marketing and Innovation, Fatima Syed.
“We have invested heavily to better our digital presence, this month launching significant upgrades to our online and mobile sites and new iPhone and Android mobile apps, making the ordering process that much easier and faster.
“We anticipate the number of online sales transactions to significantly increase before the end of 2015 as more customers defer to online, and the Visa Checkout partnership is another step forward in offering a greater digital experience to consolidate this growth.
“Pizza Hut is the first and only quick service restaurant to offer Visa Checkout, offering convenient online payment solutions to our customers,” Syed said.
“Quick service restaurants need fast and easy payment options for their customers, especially when they order pizza using their mobile phones,” said Greg Storey, Head of Visa Checkout for Visa in Asia Pacific. “Using Visa Checkout saves time by eliminating the hassle of filling in forms.”
Customers simply create a Visa Checkout account using one or more credit cards. Once signed up, customers then don’t need to enter credit card or address details each time they place an order, making every online transaction with Pizza Hut faster and putting less time between ordering and enjoying pizza!
To celebrate the new partnership, Pizza Hut and Visa Checkout are offering $10 off the first 30,000 online delivery orders that are paid using Visa Checkout between May 5 and 25. For more details, visit http://www.pizzahut.com.au/visacheckout.
