Same Same goes off in February

Australia’s leading gay and lesbian media achieved some of its highest traffic results last month in the lead up to Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Australia’s leading gay and lesbian media achieved some of its highest traffic results last month in the lead up to Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

SameSame.com.au registered 172K domestic unique visitors in February with over 1.6 million page impressions*. Same Same has already clocked up 1.5 million page impressions in the first week of March alone.

“Same Same has been the largest gay and lesbian media in the country for a few years now, so it’s great to see it reaching even greater heights during such a busy period,” Sound Alliance Content Director, Tim Duggan, said.

“When Same Same began seven years ago, the aim was to bring the community together with a strong editorial voice covering topics that they cared about, and it’s certainly achieved that.”

Same Same’s Editor Matt Akersten puts its success down to knowing what the audience wants.

“It’s been another spectacular year so far, and it’s only just getting started,” Akersten said.

“Once again in 2014, I'm thrilled to see Same Same be the online hub for Sydney Mardi Gras news, features and all those all-important photos.”

Same Same is an Official Media Partner of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2014. SameSame.com.au is a member of the Sound Alliance network of sites, alongside inthemix, FasterLouder, Mess+Noise and the recently launched Junkee.com.
