This week we're looking at plans for the zombie apocalypse, Britain's new social media laws and innovative tech stopping leftovers becoming science experiments in the fridge. All this in Five Things in Five Minutes.

1. Zombie apocalypse? Perfect reason to move to Darwin
New research suggests the NT is the best place to survive a zombie apocalypse. Darwin was ranked highest for its distance from other capital cities, but we think Kakadu and the spectacular surrounds are the perfect excuse for visiting, zombies or not.

2. Britain clamps down on social media
Britain will tackle the internet's 'Wild West' with new laws for social media companies, tackling cyberbullying and online child exploitation.

3. Pictures worth a thousand sounds
A new project is creating 'sound photography', matching photos with compositions based on emotional responses.

4. Say goodbye to questionable leftovers
Ovie Smartware is putting an end to wasted leftovers with a new bluetooth button. Attached to containers, the genius new tech tracks food expiration dates.

5. Harry and Meghan said what?
With the wedding of the year now over, we're ready for the parodies. Our favourite, Bad Lip Reading: Royal Wedding. Get ready for the golden unicycle.
