This week we look at new messaging app Peach, dream in gold and the White House gets down with the kids on Snapchat.

No stranger to embracing social media, the White House is now going after a younger demographic and has joined Snapchat. Users were given a behind-the-scenes look at the State of the Union prep and exclusive content.

Messaging apps are continuing to be a hot topic for 2016 and new app Peach, from the founder of Vine, is already in the top 10 app social network apps. Here’s a handy video guide on how to use it.

Twitter has long been a sounding board for customer feedback so it’s unsurprising that it was only a matter of time before it started harnessing tweets from everyday users into brands' campaigns. The rumoured ‘brand enthusiast gallery’ will make it easier for advertisers to collect tweets related to their products and use them for promotion.

Periscope is soon to start autoplaying directly in your Twitter-feed. Checking out a live stream and scrolling through your timeline will be much easier and it should increase engagement with Twitter too.

Red carpet season is upon us and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (better known to us as the Oscars) has released a series of beautiful ads featuring portraits of award winners with the tagline ‘We all dream in gold’.
