Early bird entries closing for Australian Running Festival

Early Bird entries for the Australian Running Festival in Canberra close this Friday, February 24.

Those who enter on or before February 24 will pay a smaller entry fee and receive their race pack via post, while those who enter after this date will pay a higher fee and their race packs must be collected from the event expo.

Register today and join thousands of entrants who will travel from all over Australia to take part in the weekend-long festival (April 14-15), which attracted more than 4000 entrants and raised in excess of $73,000 last year.

The Australian Running Festival features a number of exciting events that cater for all running abilities including Australia’s original marathon, The Canberra Times Canberra Marathon, which weaves through the picturesque streets of Canberra, passing Lake Burley Griffin and Parliament House. Other races include the Ultra and Half Marathons, and also 5km and 10km family friendly fun runs.

Race director Fred Taylor said: “This year, the event’s focus is on raising even more money for over 600 Australian charities. The festival is also supported by local clubs, including the YMCA of Canberra Runners Club.”
