SBS appoints Marketing Manager for Audio and Language


SBS has appointed Erica Green to the position of Marketing Manager, where she will be responsible for the delivery of multilingual/multicultural communications for SBS across all channels, ensuring best practice multilingual communications for all marketing activities.

Green comes to SBS with significant experience in delivering multilingual/multicultural communications following account management roles at LOUD Multicultural and Singleton, Ogilvy and Mather in Ethnic Communications.

SBS Group Marketing Manager, Katherine Raskob said: “We’re delighted to have Erica join the SBS Marketing Communications team. SBS’s role is to provide multilingual and multicultural radio and television services that inform, educate and entertain all Australians and, in doing so, reflect Australia's multicultural society. Our marketing aspirations reflect this, with a drive to deliver best-practice multicultural and multilingual communications in Australia. We are confident that Erica will add her experience and capabilities to assist us in taking this to the next level at SBS.”

Green’s key priorities in the new year will include the management of campaigns across SBS and external channels including the 2012 Lunar New Year. She will also be responsible for ensuring SBS’s day to day communications across content in more than 60 languages on SBS Television, Radio and Online are highly creative and innovative, in keeping with its goals and values.

In her role as Account Director at LOUD, Green was responsible for driving national and international marketing strategies across mainstream and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. She worked across clients that included Western Union Financial Services, Easyway Bubble Tea, Surf Life Saving Australia, Optus (pre-paid services), Department of Agriculture and Medibank.

Prior to working at LOUD, Green worked as an Account Executive at Singleton, Ogilvy and Mather in Ethnic Communications where she managed the National Ethnic Business Awards as well as public relations and event coordination for some of Australia’s leading brands, including MBF, Telstra, BigPond, Jetstar and St George.

Green’s appointment is effective immediately.
