Benedict Recycling wins Parramatta Council contract

Benedict Recycling, one of Australia’s largest and most progressive construction and demolition waste residue recycling companies, has won the contract to process Parramatta City Council’s construction and demolition waste.

The contract will run for three years with an option for renewal.

“We’re very excited about the Parramatta City Council win, as it’s another step forward in the growth of our recycling business,” said Benedict Recycling’s Group Recycling Manager, Darin Anderson.

“Our Rydalmere facility will accept about 200 tonnes of the Council’s construction and demolition waste each week, while our Chipping Norton site will process it. Parramatta Council informed us that Benedict won the contract due to the high recovery rate we could offer.”

Benedict Recycling will achieve a recovery rate of approximately 90 per cent for Parramatta City Council’s waste.

Benedict Recycling’s waste recovery rates are on average 20 per cent higher than its competitors through the technologies employed at the Chipping Norton facility.

“Parramatta is a progressive and large council, so we’ll make great partners. The municipality is growing at a steady rate and the council has some solid development projects in the pipeline,” added Anderson.

Benedict Recycling has facilities at Rydalmere, Belrose, Alexandria, and the main processing facility at Chipping Norton.

Over the last four years the company has invested $35 million in constructing its state-of-the-art Chipping Norton facility, ensuring Benedict Recycling will lead the industry in waste recovery and recycling rates.

Benedict Recycling is part of Benedict Industries one of Australia’s largest and most progressive industrial recycling, resource renewal and extraction businesses.
