Benedict Recycling appoints new Facility Manager

Benedict Recycling, one of Australia’s largest and most progressive construction and demolition waste residue recycling companies, has appointed Michael Franks as Facility Manager at the Chipping Norton facility.

Michael will be responsible for managing Benedict Recycling’s site at Chipping Norton.

Benedict’s Chipping Norton waste recycling facility is Sydney’s biggest construction and demolition waste recycling infrastructure, achieving an industry best monthly recovery rate of more than 88 per cent; a rate estimated to be 20 per cent higher than its competitors.

“Michael’s expertise in the recycling industry combined with his ability to lead a team, places him in an ideal position to manage Benedict Recycling’s facility at Chipping Norton,” said Darin Anderson, Benedict Recycling’s Group Recycling Manager.

“I’m confident that Michael will be a valuable addition to the group and we’re looking forward to having him on board.”

Prior to joining Benedict Recycling, Michael was Operations Manager at Visy Recycling for seven years where he managed over 15 recycling plants for Visy in New South Wales, New Zealand and Victoria.

Before this, Michael was employed by Parker Hannifin Australia (Enzed) for 10 years where he was Lean Manufacturing Manager for Australasia. Michael was also Sales Engineer at Bonfiglioli Transmission and has been involved in joint ventures with Benedict Recycling over the past seven years.

Over the last three years the company has invested $35 million in constructing its state-of-the-art Chipping Norton facility, ensuring Benedict Recycling will lead the industry in waste recovery and recycling rates.

Michael’s appointment is effective immediately.
