SBS ratings release for week 48, 2009
Man vs Wild gave a ferocious performance last week, attracting an SBS record for the show since its debut, with 664,000 viewers in the five mainland capital cities and 395,000 in regional Australia, according to figures from OzTAM.
The increasingly popular program reached the number one spot in SBS’s top ten regional programs list, and the current average metro audience of 494,000 was 88 per cent higher than the timeslot average.
SBS’s overall primetime audience (SBS ONE and SBS TWO) for the official ratings period (weeks 7-48 excluding Easter and the 2008 Olympics) increased year on year by an impressive 3.4 per cent.
Finally, in a particularly strong week for World News Australia Late, the Monday program attracted 284,000 metro viewers. World News Australia Late in its Mon-Fri 2130 slot has had a 6 per cent increase year on year.
