Beyond to acquire ScreenWorld production slate
Beyond International Limited and ScreenWorld Pty Ltd announced today that they have reached an in principle agreement for Beyond to acquire the ScreenWorld slate of programs in production and development. The transaction remains subject to the parties entering into legally binding agreements.
ScreenWorld programs currently in production include ‘Chopper Rescue’ - Series 2 and ‘The Science of Self Harm’. The deal includes a range of programs slated for production in 2010.
Beyond’s Managing Director, Mikael Borglund, said “I’m delighted to welcome Mark Hamlyn from ScreenWorld to oversee the ScreenWorld television program production and development slateâ€.
General Manager of ScreenWorld, Sue Clothier, now based in Queensland, commented that “the move of the ScreenWorld projects to Beyond is an exciting developmentâ€. Sue will continue to work as an executive producer on selected productions going forward.
