30 hilarious new acts announced for World's Funniest Island Comedy Festival!
The world’s first blockbuster weekend comedy festival, Sydney’s World’s Funniest Island, has announced 30 new acts to appear, including renowned New York stand up Rick Shapiro, Aussie favourites Peter Berner, Simon Palomares and Greg Fleet, Tim Ross’s outrageous Black Rose and from the UK Tony Bailey and Paul Warnes.
And hot off the press is the arrival of Arj Barker to perform with Jimeoin and Akmal!
As part of Crave Sydney, World’s Funniest Island comedy festival will transform the former colonial prison and naval dockyard, utilising the unique buildings, parklands, tunnels, and even a bomb shelter to deliver a laughquake of entertainment from mid-morning until midnight.
A special night ticket has just been announced today – just $79 if you arrive after 6pm.
The new line-up adds to the already superb program that includes British comedy legends The Goodies and Alexei Sayle; the US’s Jane Bussmann and Allah Made Me Funny, Heath “Chopper†Franklin, Sydney’s top stars Merrick and Rosso and Akmal, The Chaser’s Julian
Morrow and Andrew Hansen, Jimeoin, Tripod, Josh Thomas, Anthony Ackroyd, Fiona O’Loughlin, Felicity Ward, Die Roten Punkte and many, many more.
Even Pakistan’s only English-speaking comedian is making a world exclusive appearance!
With just one ticket, comedy fans can choose from more than 200 amazing performances by local and international artists appearing in great venues across Cockatoo Island, as well as enjoy a drink in atmospheric bars, great food, and market stalls.
Comedy fans can now even camp on the island for the entire festival!
